Needing clients - can a VA offer Black Friday deals?

Black Friday is just around the corner (Friday, 28th November), and I’m already seeing two things:

  • my Inbox full of discounts on products already! (I think mid October was the first time I saw a Black Friday offer!)
  • VAs panic about how low they need to drop their hourly rate to keep up with the noise and make sales

Let me be 100% honest with you: You absolutely do not need to discount your prices to benefit from this period.

As your friendly but no-bullshit VA coach, trainer and mentor my approach is always strategy first, fluff never.

Black Friday isn't about the discount; it's about the VALUE and the URGENCY.

Your business CAN profit from the busiest shopping weekend of the year without you burning out or working for pennies. You just need to be smart about what you sell and how you do it...

I’ve just published a new blog post "Can Virtual Assistants Offer Black Friday Promotions" that breaks down my no-nonsense strategy for VAs, covering:

  • Smart alternatives to huge price discounts (Think Value-Add).
  • A reminder to check your capacity (don’t sell what you can’t deliver!).
  • Why your existing clients need a special offer just for them. (Easier to serve an existing than find a new one!)

Need an Idea? Get Strategic, Not Desperate.

To give you a kick-start, forget slashing your hourly rate. Think about offering a low-friction, easy to implement, high-value, one-off service that gets clients in the door without committing you or them long-term. (It will allow the start of the know, like and trust process if you make it easy for you both.)

Here are a few ideas taken from a list of 20 ideas that I have shared in my VA Membership today:

  • The £99 "Inbox Zero" Session: A specific 2-hour remote session to set up key email rules and filters—a quick, tangible win for clients.
  • The "Tech Tidy" Hour: A 60-minute session dedicated to consolidating cloud files and clearing up digital clutter. Easy money, fast delivery. Could be used with Canva or google drive.
  • "Q4 Quick-Fix" Bonus: Offer one free hour of admin backlog clearing for anyone who buys a 10-hour block of time. You get the commitment, they get a bonus.
